Remove Glasses from Photo: best photos and fixes.
Clear glasses are the easy case
With clear lenses the eyes are already visible, so they are kept, shown at natural size, and only the frames, nose pads and reflections are removed. Front-facing photos with even light give the most faithful result. Thick frames hide the eyebrows and the bridge of the nose, which then have to be filled in; thin wire frames leave almost everything visible.
Eye size and lenses
Strong lenses change how big the eyes look: lenses for short sight make eyes look smaller, and lenses for long sight make them look bigger. The eyes are shown at a natural size for the face, so the result may look slightly different from the photo you know, which is what you look like without the lens effect.
Sunglasses need help
Dark sunglasses hide the eyes completely, so they have to be drawn new. The result is a believable pair of eyes for your face, not your real eyes. Write your eye color in the instructions ("green eyes", "dark brown eyes") and the shape if it is distinctive. If you have another photo without sunglasses, use that one instead.
Marks on the nose
Glasses that are worn all day leave marks on the nose and sometimes a slightly different skin tone where the lenses sit. The result removes both, so the skin around the eyes matches the rest of the face. Eyebrows hidden behind thick frames are completed to match their visible ends.
Group photos and angles
In a group photo, name the person: "remove the glasses from the woman in the middle", and others keep theirs. Side views and tilted heads work, but the eye on the far side is smaller and harder to rebuild. For the most natural result, use a photo where the face is turned no more than slightly away from the camera.
Related tools
To try new glasses rather than remove them, the glasses filter puts different frames on your face. Remove glare from photo keeps the glasses and takes off the reflections. The eye color changer changes eye color after the glasses are gone, and the red eye remover fixes flash eyes in the same photo.
Remove Glasses from Photo FAQ.
Can I edit someone else's photo?
Use photos of yourself, or of people who are happy for you to edit their picture. Don't use the result to mock, embarrass or deceive anyone.
Will my eyes look like mine?
With clear glasses, yes: they are visible and kept, at natural size. Under dark sunglasses they are drawn new, so write your eye color for a closer match.
Can I keep the glasses and remove the glare?
Yes. Use the remove glare from photo tool, which keeps the frames and takes off the reflections.
Does it remove the marks on my nose?
Yes. Nose-pad marks and any tan line from the frames are evened out.
Is the Remove glasses free?
Yes, you can try it free. New accounts get 15 free credits, and one generation here uses 13 credits. You sign in with your email; no card needed. Results have no watermark. After that, plans add credits every month and credit packs never expire.
