Golden Ratio Face Calculator: best photos and fixes.
What is measured
Face length against width, mouth width against nose width, nose-to-chin against lip-to-chin, and the lower face against the upper face. Each ratio is compared with the golden ratio, 1.618, a number artists have used as a guide to proportion for centuries.
Just for fun
The golden ratio is a design idea, not a measure of beauty. Real faces vary widely, and attractive faces don't follow one number. Treat the result as a playful reading of one photo, not a judgement of anyone's looks.
Getting a fair reading
Face the camera straight on, keep your head level and your expression neutral. A smile widens the mouth; a tilted head shortens the face; a phone held close makes the nose look bigger. Use the same kind of photo when comparing.
Hairline and forehead
The top of the forehead is estimated from landmarks rather than your real hairline, which hair often hides. That's why face length is approximate.
Reading the score
Each ratio gets a score for how close it is to 1.618, and the overall is their average. Scores move by several points between photos of the same person; that variation is normal.

Golden Ratio Face Calculator FAQ.
Does a high score mean a beautiful face?
No. The golden ratio is a design idea; it doesn't measure beauty. It is just for fun.
Why do I get different results from different photos?
Angle, expression, lens distance and light all change the measured distances.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The face model is downloaded to your browser once and runs there; your photo never leaves your device. Close the tab and it is gone.
Is it free?
Yes. Quick tools are free, need no sign-in and use no credits; your images stay in your browser. The AI tools linked below need an account.
