Movie Poster Generator: best photos and fixes.
Writing the title and idea
Start with the title, then one sentence about the film: "Title: LAST SHIFT. A night-shift nurse who becomes a hero during a blackout". The idea shapes the central image, so describe one strong moment rather than the whole plot. Add a tagline with "Tagline:" if you want one; otherwise only the title appears.
Spelling and text
The title is written exactly as you type it. Short titles of one to four words look best and are most reliable; very long titles get smaller and are more likely to have a mistake. Check every letter before printing. Credit blocks, ratings and studio logos aren't added, which keeps the poster clean and original.
Starring in your own poster
Upload a photo to put a person on the poster. A clear, front-facing photo keeps the face recognizable, and the lighting and costume are changed to fit the genre. For a group poster, such as friends as a heist crew, upload a group photo with large faces, or run each person and combine them in a design app.
Choosing a genre
Action uses bold motion and light; horror goes dark and quiet; romance is warm and soft; sci-fi is vast and glowing. The genre sets the color, the typeface and the mood. A comedy or drama can work too: describe it in the idea, for example "a bright, funny family comedy".
Printing posters
Posters come in a 2:3 portrait shape, the standard for movie posters. Choose 4K for printing; it prints well up to about A3 or 11 by 17 inches. Leave a little margin when you print, because printers trim the edges. A matte or satin print looks closest to a cinema poster.
